Thanksgiving leading day for home cooking fires: nearly four times as many cooking fires occur on Thanksgiving as on a typical day

FThanksgiving is a wonderful time of year for families and friends to get together, but this cooking-focused holiday also presents a greater risk of home fires. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), nearly four times as many home cooking fires occur on Thanksgiving as on a typical day.
