Delaware Legislature takes steps to acquire sprinkler cost estimates from homebuilders

Photo by Dennis Deitrick on Flickr The Delaware’s House and Senate recently passed a bill that would link home buyers with cost estimates of home fire sprinklers. According to the Delaware State Legislature website, the bill requires builders of new, one- and two-family homes that are three stories or less to provide a purchaser with a sprinkler cost estimate. Additionally, the bill also requires the state fire marshal’s office to supply these homeowners with information highlighting the benefits of fire sprinklers.
