FSTINet - CalArsonNet-CalResCareNet-California Hydrogen Highway Net Discussion Lists

The Los Angeles Area Fire Marshals Association, The California State Firefighters' Association and FSTI provide FSTINet and CalArsonNet Communication Lists to the public safety community.

FSTINet  -  CalArsonNet   -   CalResCareNet   -   California Hydrogen Highway Net

FSTI, CSFA, & LAAFMA
The California State Firefighters' Association (CSFA) with the California Fire Services Training Institute (FSTI), in mutual agreement with the Los Angeles Area Fire Marshal's Association (LAAFMA), are pleased to announce three new communication and information networks,
FSTINet
,  CalArsonNet, and CalResCare.  These lists will again be a free service to fire professionals in California.  The new networks join the already successful LAAFMA Communication / Discussion List with more than 1000 fire, building, and government agency representatives and professionals in California.

FSTINet addresses the latest fire service training issues and events. CalArsonNet focuses on arson investigation and statewide communication enhancement.  CalResCare provides a resource for all code and regulatory issues related to residential care occupancies located in most communities within California. These lists are informational networks where one member can post an email message via our advanced list software.  That post is then sent directly, via our secure server, to the email inbox of every member within that network list.  This format provides an instant communication and resource asset for members on the roster of each respective list.  It is secure.  No outside persons can access the lists.  Each list will has their own message archives using various search options accessed only by list members.

FSTINet membership is directed primarily at fire and public safety training professionals.  The intent is to bring together fire safety and prevention professionals, department training officers, public and private safety training personnel, and others under the FSTINet program which is dedicated to coordinating local and statewide fire training opportunities, meetings, and training assistance.

CalArsonNet consists of the current members of the LAAFMA ArsonNet list with the intended expansion statewide to other active arson fire investigators, peace officers and prosecutors that are actively engaged in the investigation of arson cases.  Hence the change to CalArsonNet.

CalResCareNet addresses the code and regulatory questions and issues that face every fire agency that has a care facility in their community.  This list has been operating now for more than two years with approximately 450 active members closing the gap in communication between the State Fire Marshal, local fire officials, inspectors, and facility owners and operators.  It is administered by the Community Residential Care Association of California and assisted by the Los Angeles Area Fire Marshals Association.   For membership, send a subscribe email with your name and contact info to Denise at  crcac@comcast.net    There are many fire agency members on this list.

The California Hydrogen Highway addresses want you  need to know about the development, progress, codes, and implementation of hydrogen fueling stations, emergency safety procedures, fuel cells, the cars, transportation in California, etc.   The California Fuel Cell Partnership are part of and represent 30 major businesses and manufacturers in the field who are current members.  Fire officials are encouraged to join technology professionals and state agency officials to create another great informational resource.  Send a request to join to  JJHamilton@cafcp.org with your contact info.

LAAFMA is the oldest and largest list in California.  It has been in operation since 2000 and consists of more than 1000 members (no private industry) dealing in fire prevention, hazardous materials, and building related issues.  The LAAFMA list has proven to be an invaluable resource and communication tool to the Fire Service.  Ask a question / have a problem?  Post it to the LAAFMA list and you will get the answer.
