The Fire Services Training Institute (FSTI) was incorporated on October 16, 2006, to address the training delivery needs of today's public safety community, including public, volunteer, private non-profit, industrial and tribal fire agencies. FSTI is a California non-profit public benefit corporation with both state and federal tax exempt status. The primary mission of FSTI is to bring quality training to the firefighter and to promote firefighter safety. The motto of FSTI is Adapt, Overcome, Improvise and Persevere. OUR INSTRUCTORS
FSTI works closely with local, state and federal agencies to ensure quality services within the current standards and practices. All instructors are recognized first by a credentialing agency such as the California State Fire Marshal's Office, the National Wildfire Coordinating Group-NWCG or the California Peace Officers Standards & Training-POST. FSTI adheres to the California State Fire Training Instructor Code of Ethics and Conduct. Every instructor has a signed agreement on file to abide by the mission statement and principles of ethical conduct. OUR FUNDING
The great truth about training is that it must be subsidized. Funding for FSTI comes from public, corporate and private grants as well as corporate sponsorships. Additional funding is provided by the California State Firefighters' Association(CSFA). FSTI is the training arm for CSFA providing training on behalf of CSFA, as well as logistical support of CSFA events and conferences. FIREHOUSE WORLD 2010 FSTI is a joint co-sponsor with CSFA of Firehouse World 2010, and the 88th CSFA Annual Conference, February 28 - March 4, 2010, in San Diego, California. Firehouse World is brought to you by Cygnus Public Safety Group. CSFA members receive $75 off registration here.
